Tulips for Tapping returns this month

Tickets go on sale on Monday 14th April at 10am.

Local charity Tapping House and tulip grower Mark Eves of Norfolk Tulips are thrilled to announce the return of Tulips for Tapping this Spring, kindly sponsored by Persimmon Homes. The legendary event, now in its fifth year, will open on Thursday 24th April and offers a rare chance to walk through a kaleidoscope of colour in a working tulip field. Whilst celebrating the start of Spring, guests can take advantage of spectacular photo opportunities and enjoy a day out in the beautiful Norfolk countryside.

2025 is an important year for Tapping House as it celebrates its 40th anniversary. As such, the team at Norfolk Tulips has delivered their best ever display with over 9 million tulips and 32 acres to enjoy. Everyone is invited to see the breathtaking colour while supporting the Hospice, all proceeds will directly fund care for people who are living with a life limiting illness, and support for their loved ones.

The tulip fields are located just off the A148, close to the Sandringham Estate in King's Lynn. The exact location will be given to ticket holders at the time of purchase. Please note, there is no public transport or walking access to the event; all attendees must travel to the event by car or taxi.

Tickets are assigned in 45 minute slots with first entry at 10am and last entry at 3.30pm. This year there are three late evenings with last entry at 7pm (Friday 25th April, Thursday 1st May and Friday 2nd May 2025). The fields are closed on Tuesday 29th April and Wednesday 30th April 2025. The last chance to visit will be on Monday 5th May 2025.

Adult admission is £10.00 each, children (aged 5 to 16) are £5.00 each and under 5s are free. Parking is £2.00 per car.

Nicola Ellis, Chief Executive at Tapping House Hospice said, “We are delighted to open the tulip fields for another incredible event. Each year we’re overwhelmed by the generosity of the visitors who come from near and far to see the splendid sight of the tulips in full bloom. We couldn’t be more grateful to Mark, Susanne and the Ward family for putting the event on and to our army of volunteers who are currently preparing to make this event happen.

“2025 is a special year for Tapping House as we are celebrating 40 years of compassionate care in our local community. We are an independent charity providing free rest-of-life care to people in West Norfolk and North Cambridgeshire. We are reliant on the income that events such as this help to generate towards the £4.3million needed to keep our services running this year. We look forward to another very special event and to seeing our community on the field!

“I would especially like to thank the team at Norfolk Tulips as well as Michael Rae and Roydon Hall Farms for making this event happen once again in 2025. And we are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Persimmon Homes as our headline sponsor.”
