Tulips for Tapping celebrates a record-breaking fundraising event

A total of £507,450 was raised over the 10 days.

Tapping House and Norfolk Tulips are delighted to be celebrating another fantastic Tulips for Tapping event again in 2025 sponsored by Persimmon Homes. Thanks to generosity, compassion and community spirit of thousands of supporters, this event has been bigger and better than ever before.

This year’s event, closed on a high on Monday 5th May, with a record-breaking £507,450 raised across the 10 day event. This milestone year coincided with Tapping House 40th anniversary, and the breathtaking kaleidoscope of 9.3 million tulips in full bloom provided a perfect backdrop for visitors to enjoy all whilst supporting the Hospice.

Over 31,000 people travelled from all around the world to the fields near King’s Lynn to witness the display and walk through the tulips. Every penny raised will go directly to Tapping House to fund care for people who are living with a life limiting illness, and support for those most important to them.

Nicola Ellis, Chief Executive at Tapping House said, “This event means so much to the Hospice, the way in which our community pulls together to support each other and the Hospice is beyond incredible. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who helps make this happen, from the 300+ volunteers who have given over 3,000 hours of their time, to the local businesses who have donated their goods and services to help set up the event. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without our community working together.

Special thanks also go to Mark and Susanne Eves of Norfolk Tulips, Michael Rae, and Roydon Hall Farms, whose continued support and generosity make this event possible.”

Susanne Eves, Director at Norfolk Tulips (PS & JE Ward Ltd), added: “We’re incredibly proud to support Tapping House, and it’s a joy to see the event come together and how this supports our local community. To us it is so much more than the money we raise, everyone we meet in the field has their own unique story and reason to support the Hospice. The memories that we help people create in the field are moments to treasure for years to come!”
