Don’t Miss Out on this Year’s Free Events in Hunstanton

The free events programme organised by the Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk has been launched for 2025 with returning favourites and some new activities for all to enjoy.

In 2024, there was a successful events programme, with thanks to Roger Partridge, who has since passed the Events Coordinator torch over to Jessica Pearce for the year ahead. Jessica will be continuing with a jam-packed 2025 of free events and activities for all ages, in Sunny Hunny.

Kicking off the programme on Saturday, 19th April is Hunstanton’s very own Easter Egg Hunt, running from 10am to 3pm (or once all 200 eggs have been collected from the Easter Bunny). Families have the chance to hunt out the Easter Bunny’s Tokens with QR codes hidden around the town and inside businesses, which will direct you to another, before ultimately revealing the Easter Bunny’s secret location.

After Easter, there are some great events to get you moving, including Thai Chi on Saturday, 26th April, Walking Football up at the Recreation Ground on Saturday, 17th May and Beat the Tide, a 5k and 10k run on Sunday, 8th June.

The hypnotic Rock Choir, of some 200 singers, shall be filling The Green in aid of RNLI on Sunday, 27th July. A busy summer holiday schedule of events, including fun sports activities you may not have tried before, are running each Monday from 28th July. On Tuesdays, the famous duo Punch & Judy, whilst Strange Fascination are returning with their Dino Jam each Wednesday, on Thursday’s children have the chance to get creative with Pebble Painting or enjoy a range of activities held by the RSPB, and finally, on Fridays there is Rhymes & Stories again, all held on The Green.

Organising it, Jessica is excited about all of the events, saying, “One date we are regularly asked about is the return of our Open-Air Cinema, which will be on Saturday, 9th August this year, showcasing Moana 2 at 11am, Wicked at 3pm and Elvis at 7pm. Why not order a picnic hamper or delicious takeaway from one of the many independent delis and cafés on and around the High Street to complete your experience.”

“We also have the return of the ever-popular Battle of the Bands on the Green on Saturday 23rd August. With the new Beats by the Beach following the next day, and we’re excited to announce the headline act will be the incredibly talented Wildboys! Then the very biggest Borough Council organised event returns to wrap up the summer, the hugely popular Soap Box Derby, which will see hand-built karts once again zooming down the streets of Hunstanton on Sunday 21st September.”

As the nights draw in you can join the team to stare at the stars on Sunday, 23rd November, held at the Town Hall with telescopes on The Green, and be sure to bring your furry friend along to the Christmas Dog Walk & Jumper Competition on Sunday 30th November.

Jessica added, “these events are aimed at giving residents, families and visitors something to come and enjoy in our wonderful seaside town of Hunstanton throughout 2025. I can’t wait!”.
