Profitable business seeks new owner - or it will close

For nearly twenty years they have been a cut above the rest. Wolferton based R&B will close at the end of the month if a buyer cannot be found.

A garden machinery business based on the Royal Estate at Wolferton has the tag line: ‘We mend you mow!’ however Robert Frost and his team have done so much more than that.

Established in 2006 by Robert and his wife Julie, the business covers west Norfolk and East Lincolnshire. Robert has been mending lawnmowers since 1985 and prior to that he was a motor mechanic – “I’ve had a working lifetime in mechanics”, he said.

"But it's time for me to retire, and after our busiest summer ever and with a client base of 2,500 customers, I'd love to find someone who is mechanically minded to take over this thriving business - I can't go on for ever!"

The couple have decided that if a buyer cannot be found before 30th September, R&B Turf and Groundcare Machinery Specialists will be closing permanently, and there will be an auction to dispose of the business assets.
