Hospital Radio Lynn seeks new volunteers to join the team

The patient radio service of Queen Elizabeth Hospital proudly marks its 50th anniversary this year.
Established on 17th April 1974, the station has been a cornerstone of patient care and entertainment for half a century. To celebrate this milestone and continue its tradition of excellence, Hospital Radio Lynn is calling for new volunteers to join its dedicated team.
Over the past five decades, Hospital Radio Lynn has grown into an award-nominated and award-winning station, recognized for its outstanding contribution to hospital radio. As a proud member of the Hospital Broadcasting Association, the station remains committed to providing high-quality radio programming that enhances the hospital experience for patients.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Hospital Radio Lynn is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to fill various volunteer roles, including:
- Radio Presenters: Engage with patients, collect music and show requests, and broadcast live or pre-recorded shows.
- Ward Visitors: Interact with patients to gather their requests and provide a friendly, supportive presence.
- Fundraisers: Assist in organizing and promoting fundraising activities to support the station’s continued operation.
Volunteers will have the chance to gain valuable experience in radio broadcasting, work with a team of like-minded individuals, and make a tangible difference in patients' lives.
