The Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk receives special honour

Sir Richard Jewson KCVO JP, the Lord Lieutenant of Norfolk has been granted the rare honour of the freedom of West Norfolk at a reception held near Dereham.
Honorary Alderman Sir Jeremy Bagge presented a certificate to Sir Richard at a garden reception held at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse on Thursday 4 July 2019.
Previous recipients include the Queen Mother and, most recently in 2015, historian Dr Paul Richards.
The council granted this honour in recognition of the eminent service that Sir Richard has given to the borough and Norfolk.
Sir Richard is due to retire from the position in August having served the county for fifteen years.
