Massingham ‘A’ snooker club have won the Hunstanton Snooker League title for the first time in their history.

Ten teams participate in this popular league with the season ending Presentation evening held on Tuesday, 23rd April, well attended by over 50 players and supporters.

The final tournament of the season was also exhibited with the top two players from each team competing in a team doubles knockout. It proved to be a fitting climax to the season as the final frame went down to the wire with a black ball finish, Daniel Coggins managing to sink the all important pressure shot ball in front a vociferous crowd to claim the title for Conservative Club 'C'.

Homage was paid to organiser, Geoff Hitchcock, recognising the fact that the League - which has been going for over 50 years - would simply not survive without him.

Thanks also went to the United Services Club who hosted the Finals and Presentation evening, laying on a superb buffet for all the players and to League Sponsors, Sportique Sport in Hunstanton.

The new 2024/25 season commences in the Autumn and anyone interested in joining a team can contact Geoff by email at geoff.hitch54449@btinternet.com .
