Mr Bun the Baker hosts a baking evening for 1st Sandringham Guides.
The Revd Canon Dr Paul Williams, Rector of Sandringham Church joined the 1st Sandringham Guides unit at Mr Bun the Baker’s on Thursday 10th October.
The guides, all aged between ten and fourteen, were accompanied by District Commissioner Catherine Leigh, unit helper Suzi Ludgater-Pimlott and young leader Tamzin, and together they had a masterclass in breadmaking from Peter Gohegan, aka Mr Bun.
This was the unit’s second visit to Mr Bun’s bakery and last year’s visit was so popular there were many requests to return.
They got to work quickly making their Turtle bread and Cob loaves before moving on to decorating buns and biscuits – and that involved plenty of chocolate, sweet icing, marshmallows and hundreds and thousands.
Meanwhile, having arrived at the bread making session straight from a day in London, the Rector was keen to tuck into a fresh cream éclair!
