Tim FitzHigham is a multi-award-winning comedian, writer and performer. He is the Cultural Officer for King’s Lynn and West Norfolk and Creative Director of the Guildhall Theatre and Creative Hub site which is the oldest working theatre in the UK and the only working theatre that can credibly claim to have hosted Shakespeare.
Tim has done stand-up comedy all over the world, had multiple series on BBC Radio 4 and played the baddie in Paddington 2 and Wonka. Tim is currently undertaking the country’s only PhD in Robert Armin at the Shakespeare Institute in Stratford Upon Avon.
Robert Armin was the King’s Lynn-born comedian who worked with Shakespeare to create some of the most memorable comedic moments in Shakespeare’s plays; during this talk, Tim will be shedding new life on the discoveries he has made regarding Armin and Armin’s time with Shakespeare.
Tim holds several world records for unusual feats and recreated Shakespeare’s other comedian Will Kemp's 160-mile Morris Dance from London to Norwich in 9 days. Tim’s shows and talks have been kindly made Critics Choice in The Times, The Sunday Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent, The Guardian, The Observer, The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday, The Evening Standard, Time Out and Metro.
