King’s Lynn Community Cinema Club presents an evening with Kevin Herwin
Nigel returns as his first talk proved to be so popular with the audience and generated so much discussion he was unable to cover the whole time span he had intended. However, this is a self-contained talk so don’t worry if you missed the first part.
There will be lots of film clips so you will have an opportunity to see some more of the greatest dance routines ever to grace the motion pictures, ranging from rock’n’roll to the razzle-dazzle choreography of Bob Fosse.
This illustrated talk will celebrate and explore how dance developed on film and how the different dance styles – ballet, ballroom, tap, disco and flamenco – result in different styles of filmmaking.
Nigel will also discuss just how dance on film got political.
So go along and relive your youth watching Travolta and co, strut their stuff.
Drinks can be purchased from the bar.
Entrance is £5 cash for KLCCC members and £6 for non-members payable on the door.
