Shaun Reddy, pictured above left, who has
been with the Ambulance Service for eighteen
years said: “This is rather like the old Joint
Services 999 open days showing people how
we work and practice together.”
The event followed the JESIP (Joint
Emergency Services Interoperability
Programme) principles, so in addition to the Firefighters Sarah Kimberley and Ro Owen
Fire Service crews from Hunstanton,
Sandringham and King’s Lynn, the Police,
Ambulance Service, RNLI Education Team
and Coastguard were there demonstrating
how the services work together.
During the day there was a display by the
Cadets, a RTC working demonstration where Bordoli’s Wood Fired Kitchen were on
hand to provide sustenance for the crews and
visitors and the raffle and cakes raised £842
for the Fire Fighters Charity.

Hunstanton Fire Station is staffed by on-call firefighters. These firefighters are men and
women who live or work close to the station and ride the fire appliance when alerted to any
fire and rescue incident. The crew consists of a watch manager, two crew managers and nine
firefighters.
The Hunstanton firefighters attend one training evening a week, they also commit to
training courses at Bowthorpe Training and Development to enhance their firefighting skills.
