       First word

With two Bank Holidays to look forward to this month, and lighter
evenings, the focus turns to enjoying the great outdoors. Gardening,
bird watching, sailing, bowling, croquet and walking become more of
an attractive proposition and all are included in this edition.
Diversity is the name of the game when it comes to local business
news, with everything from classic motorcycle hire in Hunstanton to
a water buffalo herd in Sandringham to read about here. It is good to
feature different businesses so if you have a story to tell, do get in
Our local schools have much to report with news of ski-ing, baking,
dancing, science, sport and more; you can find them on pages 50-52.
It has been 400 years since William Shakespeare died, leaving
behind a treasure trove of plays, poems and sayings that still grip the
imagination of audiences throughout the world. On 25th May there
will be quite a party for Shakespeare lovers at Hunstanton Town Hall
with a fun anthology of poems, plays, sketches , music and screenings
all based around the work of the Bard. Turn to page 55 for details.
My thanks as always to everyone who has provided articles, photos
and information for publication; your contributions make for an
       interesting read!
Thanks also to our advertisers who provide the revenue to print
10,000 copies each month. There are several new advertisers in this
issue and I would ask that you consider them first when choosing your
On page 76 you’ll see that we are appealing for more volunteers to
join our distribution team who do such a fantastic job bringing the
magazine to you, so if you can spare an hour a month to deliver some
copies please get in touch. Currently we need help in the Chatsworth
Road/George Raines Close area, Park Road and the High Street. And
if you don’t want to be tied to a monthly round we also need cover for
       holidays etc.
With best wishes for the month ahead
