ing’s Lynn-based mobile bar hire
company, Best At Bars, have raised
K£13,070 with a charity gala in support
of The Purfleet Trust, a charity supporting
people experiencing homelessness in King’s
Lynn and West Norfolk.
The charity gala was celebrating Best at
Bars 10 year anniversary and was held at The
Red Barn, South Runcton, near King’s Lynn.
Best At Bar’s director, Matthew Barton
said: "To achieve 10 years in business it takes
a lot of hard work and dedication, however
you do need a little bit of luck along the way
too.
“Recognising this, we wanted to mark the
occasion by supporting individuals who don't
always get that little bit of luck and find
themselves in very challenging situations.
To raise the figure we did was beyond our
wildest dreams, and we are incredibly
humbled by the support from sponsors and
fellow suppliers who helped us pull of such a From left:Paula Hall (Purfleet Trust) Maddie Tunmore (Best@Bars), Jacob Clark

parishioners give up their time and effort to tackle unwanted
Slitter around their village. The litter pick was arranged by the
Parish Council who hoped the exercise would result in the village
being a nicer, cleaner place in which to live.
King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council provided litter picking
packs, containing fluorescent jackets, litter pickers and bags. Over
twenty bags of rubbish were collected, in addition to various car parts,
including a wheel! Most of the litter was found on roadsides suggesting
it is traffic related.
Thanks to Sedgeford Village Hall for hosting the refreshments
afterwards which were very kindly donated and served by a local
couple. This was the second year such an event has been held and is
now annual fixture on the village calendar.
