Wheels for Gardening with Disabilities Group

Challenged by their Chairman to fundraise for ‘wheels for a local
charity’ this year, the Hunstanton and District Inner Wheel Club set
about raising funds and chose the Gardening with Disabilities Group
based at Park House, Sandringham as their partners for the project.
Purchasing two lightweight but sturdy wheeled gardening trugs was
the target for the Inner Wheel members, but they were so successful
in their fundraising efforts they were able to donate an additional £300
       to the group.
The cheque and trugs were presented by Inner Wheel President
Rosemary Bowett to Marianne Charles, Gardening Advisor and
Publicity of Gardening with Disabilities on 21st November. Thanking
the Inner Wheel, Marriane Charles said: “We have forty members and
these trugs will be really useful; one will be used by a member who
gardens from a wheelchair and we will use the money to buy tools for
the group’s tool library, and to help pay for a garden outing, possibly SAFE AGENT
       to Bressingham, next year.
