During The Hunstanton Carnival on Sunday 29th June, late in the after-
noon as the fabulous days events were drawing to a close, the wind was
whipping with a definite chill in the air. The choir got into the swing of
their performance, voices raised with The Skye Boat Song; the wind
persisted and tried to blow their passionate rendition ‘over the sea to
Skye’, but then the clouds parted and the sun shone through and stayed
with them during their turn. Gathering momentum, the choir went on to
perform; English Country Garden, Va Pensiero, I Dreamed a Dream,
Our Farm Shop sells produce from our orchards The Ash Grove, Bridge Over Troubled Water and ended with an exhila-
and kitchen garden, fruit juice made on site and rating rendition of I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside – the watching
supports other local food producers. crowd enjoyed joining in, with this one!

On Monday 7th July on a brilliantly sunshiny early evening, in the heart
of Snettisham, people thronged from around this community to remember
lives lost during WW1 & 2. A heart-warming event to mark the occasion
of the rededication of the War memorial in the centre of the village, and
brought tears to the eyes of many. Spectacularly all started by a fly-past of
one of the amazing RAF Tornado jets, the emotion felt through the gestures
of those who took part, the words spoken, the music played and the songs
lead by the choir. What better way of rousing voices into action than by

Hunstanton Community Choir continues to grow as their popularity
spreads. A recent count of members has them heading towards 100! The
enthusiasm of this strong singing force can be heard on Tuesday evenings
by anyone passing the Town Hall between 7.00-9.00 p.m. especially on a
balmy evening when the doors are held open to welcome in any passing
cool breeze (as well as any passing person who gets drawn closer). Don’t
be surprised either if you’re out near The Green and this large group of
