Winter season of eight films begins on 14th November

The membership fee of £17 has been held for the eighth year running - this works out at just £2.13 a film!

November will mark the start of an exciting new Winter season for King’s Lynn Community Cinema Club. Once again the new season will showing 8 films over the next six months.

The Club currently screens it films in the historic St George’s Guildhall, King Street which has been their home for the last 14 years, but in the new year when this closes for renovation KLCCC will be moving into Screen 2 at the Majestic Cinema. “It will certainly be a wrench to leave the Guildhall” explains club chairman Ian Barton, “But it is also very exciting for our members as the superior facilities offered at the Majestic will certainly be appreciated. We are looking forward to the comfortable seating, larger screen, better sound system, pre film bar and perhaps most importantly being fully accessible to all our members. We shall make the move to the Majestic for our first screening in January, so we see the next couple of films as our goodbye to the Guildhall!”

This season’s first screening will be on Thursday 14^th November and will start at 7.30pm. It is the Italian adventure comedy ‘La Chimera’. It follows the rather crumbled English archaeologist Arthur as he is released from jail and reconnects with his accomplices - a happy-go-lucky collective of grave-robbers who survive by looting Etruscan tombs and fencing the treasures they dig up. This film has been well received and has already won 12 awards at international film festivals. Please note this film is subtitled.

Now is a great time to join KLCCC and guarantee free entry to all screenings. This can be paid in cash on the door at the November film or BACs payments for membership can be arranged by simply emailing communitycinemaclub@googlemail.com. Anyone over 18 is welcome to become a member. Alternatively, you can just go along to any individual film as a day member for £5. Please note only cash payments can be made on the door.
