Will it 'draw a line under it'? Wonky yellow lines in Old Hunstanton covered up

Sea Lane resurfaced in preparation for painting yet more yellow lines.

A lot's been happening down Sea Lane recently - the new traffic restrictions, the painting of some (very) wonky yellow lines (pictures of which made the national headlines) and now it's been resurfaced so more yellow lines can be painted.

"Hopefully this time they'll make less of a mess of it," says villager Rebecca, "It's farcical really isn't it.  What a waste of time."

The new restrictions, which only came into force last month, are being re-done in places.

"I think whoever did it must have had a few," laughs Barbara York, who's lived here for more than 30 years, "They haven't made a very good job of them."

Norfolk County Council admitted the new lines were below standard, and ordered remedial work as a 'matter of urgency'.

Adding all the works, “Will be completed at no cost to Norfolk County Council. We apologise to residents for any additional disruption this work has caused, however, the poor job performed by our contractor needs to be corrected and the lines need to be reinstated to the required specification."
