Match news from the Heacham and Dersingham teams.
Heacham FC were on the end of a 6-1 mauling at Great Yarmouth Town on Saturday. Heacham actually took the lead with a Toby Hilliard goal before a second half blitz by the home side secured all three points. Heacham have only beaten one team above them in the league so far this season and face a big test this weekend as they welcome leaders Ely City to their Station Road base.
In Division One of the Anglian Combination League, Dersingam Rovers FC earned a creditable point in a 2-2 home draw with leaders Caister FC. Joe Collison and Scott Sutherland-Gray scoring for the local side who sit 6th and deservedly well poised for a promotion push.
In Division Four, Heacham Reserves moved up to 6th place with a convincing 6-0 rout of Dereham Town Development. Braces by Thomas Hawkins and Tyler Reeve and a goal apiece for Ryan Mellon and Harry Robinson doing the damage. Dersingam Reserves dispatched bottom club Gayton Reserves with ease in an 11-1 battering. Four goals from Ahmed Rhaouti, a hat-trick from Dane Schmuda, two from Charlie Congreve and a goal each for Jack Rix and Ruben Dores mean the local outfit remain in 4th place with a rather healthy goal difference.
In Division One of the North West Norfolk League, Dersingham Rovers ‘A’ remain top after a hard fought 0-0 draw at Weeting Saxon FC. Meanwhile Ingoldisthorpe Reserves are in danger of isolating themselves at the bottom after a 3-1 reverse against Woottons FC. Karl Mayes scoring for the ‘Thorpe.
Both Heacham Minors Development FC and FC St. Edmunds Hunstanton had their games postponed in Division Two.
In the Thurlow Nunn Youth League, second placed Heacham FC U18’s welcome fourth placed Dereham Town U18’s tomorrow (Tuesday) evening (7.45pm Kick off) in a mouthwatering encounter between two in-form teams.
