Tim Keogh's update on local fixtures

Heacham FC slipped to the bottom of the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division on Saturday as they lost 2-0 at Brantham Athletic and Sheringham secured a point against Walsham-le-Willows FC to move above The Magpies. Their Norfolk Senior Cup match tonight at home to Easton FC (Tuesday, 1st October) has been postponed.

In Division One of the Anglian Combination League, Dersingham Rovers had an excellent 3-1 win against Castle Acre Swifts, leapfrogging their opponents into third place in the process. A sublime Sam Peck hat-trick doing the damage.

In Division Three, Ingoldisthorpe FC rued a number of missed opportunities as they were on the end of a 4-0 grilling by Holt United Reserves.

In Division Four, Dersingham Rovers Reserves achieved result of the weekend as they beat leaders Attleborough Town Reserves 2-1. A brace from Ahmed Rhaouti enough to secure all three points. Heacham Reserves were held to a goalless draw at home to Bradenham & Mattishall Reserves.

In Division One of the North West Norfolk League, Dersingham Rovers ‘A’ capped a fine weekend for the local club, as they won 3-2 at Clenchwarton FC with goals from Sonny Devlin (2) and Lewis Batterbee. Conversely, Ingoldisthorpe made it a bad weekend for the club as they lost 8-0 at Reffley Youth FC, conceding seven second half goals.

In Division Two, Heacham Development FC gained their first league win of the season with a creditable 4-3 win at home to Clenchwarton Reserves, much to the delight of North Beach Fish Bar who sponsored the match and treated all the players to a fish and chip supper. In the same Division, FC St. Clements Hunstanton FC's winless start to the season continues as they lost 4-0 at home to Gaywood FC.

Heacham Walking Football FC welcomed Ely WFC to their ground on Sunday. With both teams fielding strong sides a close encounter looked to be petering out into a goalless draw, before late goals from Andy Fletcher and Nick Walker secured a creditable victory for the local outfit.
