Weekend cricket update

Local teams were in action over the weekend.
In Division One of the Norfolk Cricket League, Thornham’s promotion push was thwarted as they were beaten at Hardingham. Thornham slip to fourth. In the same division, result of the weekend involved a Zac Fountain century which proved pivotal as Snettisham 2nds beat leaders Felthorpe away by nine wickets.
In Division Two of the Norfolk Cricket Alliance, Bircham returned to the top of the league with a convincing 181 run win at Beccles. Liam Compton’s century put the local side in control with Stuart Watkins’ three wickets sealing the win.
In Division Three, Sandringham remain in third after a five wicket win at home to Cromer 2nd XI whilst Snettisham 1sts also remain third in Division Four dispatching Bradfield 2nd XI with ease by ten wickets. Ryan Twiddy (65 not out) and Aaron Herbert (78 not out) chasing down their target in just 17 overs.
