Unanimous Cabinet decision to submit the Oasis project for Government funding

Residents overwhelming enthusiasm for a new Oasis in Hunstanton is backed up by letters of support.
At today's meeting at the King's Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council the Cabinet was asked to approve £100,000 so detailed plans for a new leisure centre in Hunstanton to replace the Oasis could be worked up and submitted to the government for Levelling Up funding of up to £20m.
Leader of the Council Stuart Dark MBE said: "Following the amazing response from the public in our survey which was backed up by letters of support for the project from James Wild MP, County Councillor Andrew Jamieson, the Hunstanton Advisory Board and Hunstanton Town Council, the Cabinet voted unanimously to push ahead so that an application can be made for levelling-up funding.
"We will now be preparing our submission that has to be with the Government by 6th July and we'll be doing everything we can to push it forward."
