Hunstanton Town Hall will host the fair on 9th May.
A Jobs Fair aimed at hiring workers for the tourism, catering and retail industries is to be held in Hunstanton in order to address the severe staffing issues that many of the local businesses are facing.
The event, being held in Hunstanton Town Hall 9th May 10 am – 2 pm, not only aims to give a helping hand to those who are unemployed or seeking a new career but to raise the profile of the hospitality industry, boost recruitment and promote the sector as a career of choice to parents, schools and colleges.
Businesses are being encouraged to join the Jobs Fair to promote their vacancies and to highlight the benefits that a career in hospitality can bring – from fulfilling, long-term employment to fantastic opportunities for training and development. If you are a local business and wish to participate please contact the Town Clerk on 01485 532402 or by email clerk@hunstantontowncouncil.gov.uk .
The event has been arranged by Hunstanton Town Council in partnership with Employer Advisers from the Department for Work and Pensions, Kings Lynn Jobcentre and Brian Hallard of the Princess Theatre. Brian has vacancies to fill at the Theatre and has raised concerns regarding the number of local businesses facing staff shortages.
One-to-one advice will be available for attendees looking to explore employment opportunities and to ensure they are ‘job-ready’.
