Thornham Cricket Club launch youth initiative
Hardball and softball opportunities for youngsters starting this month
Following Thornham Cricket Club’s 1st XI promotion to the Norfolk Cricket Alliance League last season, the junior set up are looking to build on this success by expanding their operation. In addition to their U9’s and U11’s Softball teams, the club are introducing an U15’s Hardball team into the youth league next season.
In anticipation of this, the club are launching a Junior Winter Cricket initiative aimed at youngsters who are looking to get into cricket or those that wish to develop their game in preparation for the new season which starts in April.
Hardball nets - aimed at eleven to fifteen-year-olds will take place at Fakenham Leisure Centre from 6pm until 7.30pm on January 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th & 31st and February 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th. Each session costs £2.50.
Softball training - aimed at 4 to 10-year-olds take place at Thornham Village Hall from 6pm to 7pm on February 3rd, 10th 17th & 24th and March 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th & 31st. These sessions are completely free.
