The Norfolk Hospice appoints new Chief Executive

The Norfolk Hospice Tapping House welcomes Nicola Ellis as the new Chief Executive as Lyndsay Carter steps down in June.

Lyndsay came to the Hospice just as the service was moving to its new purpose-built facility in Hillington, Norfolk in 2014. During her time at the Hospice, she has introduced the nine-bed Inpatient Unit and Rapid Response Service. Under her leadership the Hospice at Home, Therapy Service and Family Support Teams have also grown exponentially.

Lyndsay, who has been the Chief Executive of the Hospice for the last eight years, said:

“It has been an honour to work at the Hospice and it is with great pleasure that I now hand over to my successor Nicola.”

Nicola Ellis has worked at the Hospice for nine years and has represented the Hospice at both operational and strategic level. She has developed a reputation as one of Norfolk and Waveney’s leading figures in palliative and end of life care and has been instrumental in the development, oversight and review of integrated working.

She is passionate about the role the Hospice plays in the wider Health and Social Care landscape and will look to further develop the Hospice’s reputation for delivering excellent end of life and bereavement care.
