The Bridge for Heroes – 100-mile Cycling Challenge

On 22nd August 2020 Karl Perryman and Mark Howard, together with support riders from the South-East Hand-Cycle club completed a 100-mile cycling challenge around the roads of West-Norfolk, South Lincolnshire and North Cambridgeshire.

Karl, an RAF Veteran of 24-years rode un up-right bike and Mark, a Veteran of the Household Cavalry, rode a 3-wheel recumbent hand-cycle. Together they raised £667.10 for The Bridge for Heroes Charity. The Bridge for Heroes is a military charity that has been supporting serving and veteran Armed Forces personnel in the local area for the last 10 years.

On 5th November 2020, Karl & Mark were awarded The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund 100-miles for 100-years Challenge medal, which was presented by Mike Taylor, the CEO of The Bridge for Heroes.
