Hunstanton & District Round Table 615 hold their famous Christmas Day Charity Swim
Whilst most of us were tucking into more mince pies - some braved the cold waters to take part in the charity swim on Hunstanton Beach.

The event went ahead despite swims being cancelled elsewhere because of strong winds - organisers did move the starting point to a more sheltered stretch of beach.
The outfits, as ever, have been impressive, everything from the Three Kings to a bath tub.

Max Jones, who's from the town, says, "It's kind of tradition now as it started with my mum a few years back. It wasn't as cold as I expected it to be, maybe the adrenaline of the crowds and everyone cheering us on. It's a fantastic event and experience and I think everyone should give it a go."

"The water was soooooo cold," says James, who went in with his daughter Isabelle, "My feet have only just warmed up! My daughter Isabelle loved the atmosphere, seeing all the other fantastic costumes and can't wait to do it again next year!"

David Coggles, a crew member at the local RNLI, said after, "Christmas swim done. More of a dip this year as it was so cold. Love being part of the amazing RNLI family here at Hunstanton. Happy Christmas everyone!"

Swimmers could choose from 7 charities this year, Hunstanton and Heacham Community First Responders, Tapping House, Autism West Norfolk, Nelson's Journey, Breast of Friends, The 8:56 foundation and The Ebi Foundation.

Crowds lined the sands and South Prom to cheer everyone on - well done to the organisers and those who braved the waters!
I may just join you next year...promise!!
