Memorable melodies, gritty lyrics, fabulous acoustics and beautiful lighting in St Mary's Snettisham made this a night to remember.
The very first Country Night at St Mary’s proved a resounding success last night, as around eighty people gathered in the historic church to enjoy an intimate evening of live music.
Hosted by KL1 Radio, the concert was presented as a side project of the Wild West Norfolk Festival, which returns to Hunstanton on 4th July 2026. Taking centre stage were Victoria and Geoff Meads, the duo better known as Tennessee Twin, who are well known and loved within the ever growing UK country music scene.
Over the course of two sparkling 50-minute sets, Tennessee Twin shared their own heartfelt songs alongside captivating stories and a few cheeky covers, all delivered with rich harmonies and a Nashville-inspired sound. The church’s natural acoustics gave the music an extra warmth, while the relaxed atmosphere and lighting helped make the evening feel welcoming and intimate.
For those in the audience, it was a memorable way to mark the close of summer in West Norfolk, with the glow of the church surroundings adding to the overall charm. Judging by the smiles, applause and praise, this debut Country Night will be remembered as the start of a tradition worth repeating, and a fine showcase of two of the UK’s standout country performers.
