Swimmers brave the icy waters of the Wash on Christmas Day

The water might have been chilly but the sun shone attracting record crowds to the Hunstanton Christmas Day Swim.

Organised by the Hunstanton and District Round Table, the event attracted 207 swimmers this year and thousands of supporters turned out to cheer them on. New for 2019 was the double-banner swim with the banners placed about ten metres apart.

For sixty years swimmers have braved the icy waters of the Wash to raise money for charity, most in fancy dress or festive costumes adding to this amazing spectacle.
