Summer Carnival and Christmas Lights Switch On - Hunstanton businesses asked for their input

Hunstanton Town Council invites local businesses to collaborate on 2025-2026 community events.

The newly formed Town Events Group is planning the upcoming calendar of community events.  

Key ones include the Winter Wonderland Christmas Lights Switch-On on Sunday 30th November and the Summer Carnival Weekend in 2026.

“We’re reaching out to our local business community because we believe that your insight, creativity, and participation are vital to the continued success of these events,” says Julie Marziano, Secretary of the group. “Together, we can create more enjoyable, inclusive, and vibrant experiences for residents, visitors, and businesses alike.”

What's planned for Winter Wonderland 2025 (from midday to 17.15):

• A main stage situated outside the Town Hall

• High Street closure for the duration of the event to host festive stalls

• Roaming and static entertainment, live music, and festive attractions to increase footfall and dwell time

• A Best-Dressed Shop Window Competition for businesses to showcase their creativity

• Support to promote any festive initiatives or offers from local retailers

Local business owners are being encouraged to share their ideas, feedback, and plans for involvement by September the 8th (2025).

Hunstanton Town Council is inviting input on:

• How your business would like to participate in town events

• Suggestions for new activities or improvements

• Ways the Town Events Group can better support business engagement through promotion, logistics, or partnership

• Ideas for sponsorships, themed displays, or special offers, “Whether it’s time, ideas, resources, or simply feedback - every contribution makes a difference,” adds Marziano.
