Sir Henry Bellingham MP breaks ground at Hunstanton retirement development

Our MP, Sir Henry Bellingham helped lay the building blocks of Eastland Grange - McCarthy and Stone's forthcoming Retirement Living Plus development on Valentine Road in Hunstanton.

Sir Henry joined McCarthy and Stone Site Manager, Keith Rowley, to take a closer look at development plans and to perform a ground-breaking ceremony to mark the start of construction at Eastland Grange, which will eventually comprise 55 one and two-bedroom luxury apartments for the over 70s.

McCarthy and Stone’s Retirement Living Plus developments aim to bridge the gap between conventional Retirement Living and residential care. Retirees are able to retain independence in the form of home ownership, yet still have the peace of mind of a range of additional 24/7 security and support services.

Sir Henry commented: “It was a pleasure to visit McCarthy and Stone’s new Hunstanton development. Developments such as this are a great asset to the town, as they provide the perfect solution for older people who are looking to living their retirement to the full, surrounded by like-minded individuals, and with support available should they need it.”

Cheryl Bissett, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone East Midlands, added:

“We were delighted Sir Henry Bellingham MP was able to take the time out of his busy schedule to visit the site of our prestigious new development and to help us commemorate the start of the construction programme.  We are looking forward to breathing new life into this area of Hunstanton and to boosting the choice available for local retirees”

Apartments will be available to buy-off plan in late summer 2018, with the first homeowners expected to move-in to their new homes at Eastland Grange in February 2019.
