Sinkhole in Snettisham

A sinkhole has appeared in Common Road.

On Wednesday evening (22nd June) residents in Tapping Close noticed a small hole approximately 15cm diameter (6") had appeared in the centre of Common Road between the entrance to Tapping Close and the A149. This was reported to Highways/fixmystreet.

The hole was measured using a stick and chalk and it extends diagonally down sideways in different directions as follows:

45cm (17 3/4")

42cm (16 ½”)

41cm (16")

30.5cm (12")

As the road remains open this morning Local County Councillor Stuart Dark was contacted and he has advised the that Highways will get on to it today.
