Searles golfers raise £3500 for NARS

The Searles Resort Golf Club AGM took place on Friday 21st February to elect new Captains’ for 2020. However, the first order of the evening was to present the NARS (Norfolk Accident Rescue Services), Searles 2020 Captains’ Charity with a cheque for £3500.
The superb amount was raised from Captains Day, Gala Day in June, Ladies 100 hole challenge, the captains chaos and Dave Cox’s Friday quiz nights. Junior member Louise Palmer raised over £1000 of the total by selling golf balls lost on the course.
Paul Strutt NARS Fund Raising officer was there to collect the cheque, stated “they are a small charity and the impact donations to NARS have when even their insurance was £7 to £8000 a year”. He thanked the club for their continued support and Louise Palmer for all the balls sold to raise money.
Searles are delighted to have donated an ongoing total of £12,900 to NARS since 2017.

Searles Golf Manager Edward Howes was pleased to announce that David Cox was continuing as Men’s Captain, Keith Whiting was elected as Seniors Captain and Teresa Hills as ladies Captain for 2020.
Searles Resort Golf Club and Fountain Bar hold Monthly competitions as well as numerous other events and social competitions.
Membership is now available starting on 1st April, full annual membership costs £414 and summer membership £314 with no joining fee. Join early and March will be included at no extra cost.
