Rotary Club donates emergency toilet bags to the QEH

Hunstanton and District Rotary Club has provided hygiene essentials for emergency admissions.

Rotarian Adrian Evens said: "In pursuit of our aims to support local charities and good causes, we recently raised sufficient funds to provide 50 emergency toilet bags for the QE Hospital.

"These will provide much needed immediate basic washing and grooming facilities for patients admitted for treatment from the A&E department."

Members of the club hand-made the bags which were then filled with various toiletry items that were purchased from fundraising activities.

Kerry Robinson and her colleagues at the A&E department made the presentation possible and they are pictured above with Rotarians Mick Harpley the president, Mary Harpley, Jean Raven, Val Atterbury, Christine Vernon, and Roger Raven.

Adrian added that a special mention should be made for a dear friend and fellow Rotary member Julie Dillon: "She made a significant contribution to this donation, and is sadly no longer with us."
