Police close Public Enquiry Offices

Seven out of the ten Norfolk Constabulary’s Public Enquiry Offices (PEOs) will close on 31st March as part of plans for future policing in the county.

As part of the savings required owing to reductions in the Constabulary budget, the decision was taken by Chief Officers to close the PEOs achieving £320,000 worth of savings. Amongst the stations affected is Hunstanton although it will remain open as an operational base for police officers and staff and opportunities for residents to meet their local officers face to face have been set up. Called ‘engagement surgeries’ they will be held at Hunstanton Police Station on Wednesdays between 11am and 1pm.
