Hunstanton and District Rotarians are definitely “People of Action” at the moment as we are busy beavering away preparing for our summer events.
This year we have three big events coming up that will help us to raise money that will then be available for donating to local and international groups and charities.
In July a new venture for us is the Wild West Norfolk Festival, a Country and Western festival produced in collaboration with Glebe House School and KL1 radio on Saturday 5th July. This is a family friendly event from 12 noon to 10.00pm. Performing on the two stages will be a variety of acts, there will be line dancing, food venues and merchandise stalls. Book your ticket now by visiting www.wildwestnorfolkfestival.co.uk Check out the website for more details.
Over the weekend of Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July we shall be running the Norton Hill Steam Railway Weekend in Snettisham. This is a fun event in the afternoons for all the family with train rides, stalls and refreshments available. Locals and visitors see this as a firm favourite and look forward to the weekend each year.
Then on Saturday 16th August we are organising the Burnham Market Craft Fair for the second year running. After last year’s successful event we are pleased to be able to help the local community showcase their wares once again. A selection of nearly 100 outdoor stalls will stretch through Burnham Market. Come along to see the Norfolk craft and artisan creations. A vibrant village day out and a chance to spend time, to share and to support the community.
