Nominate Your Community Heroes in the 2021 Hunstanton Mayor’s Community Awards

The Mayor, Cllr Tony Bishopp, is calling for nominations

As the deadline for submissions of March 28^th approaches, nominations are sought for the 2020/21 Mayor’s Community Awards

These awards acknowledge the outstanding contribution and commitment of individuals, community groups or businesses in the Hunstanton area.

Nominate your worthy local individual or group to say ‘Thank You’. The five award categories are: Neighbour of the Year, Business of the Year, Carer of the year and Young Carer of the Year & Groups / Organisations of the Year.

Mayor Cllr Bishopp, speaking about the awards said: “It is essential this year we capture the outstanding work undertaken in our community during the COVID-19 pandemic and publicly recognise the valuable work and endless hours put in by volunteers, paid workers and community-based organisations around the town.

I would like to commend all the community for the outstanding work they have accomplished to assist the vulnerable during the pandemic. You added to your usual programme of activities to ensure everyone felt supported. You have created positive outcomes for residents of all ages.

These awards deliver a strong message about the value of helping others and how it helps to strengthen the Hunstanton community”.

Please nominate those individuals, groups or organisations you feel have gone that extra mile to help others by writing up to 100 words why you think the person, group or business deserves an award and send in to the Town Clerk by email clerk@hunstantontowncouncil.gov.uk or by post to; Town Clerk, Hunstanton Town Council, Town Hall, The Green, Hunstanton PE36 6BQ.

Nominations close on Sunday March 28^th at 4.00pm. Please note that self-nominations will not be accepted.
