New Lidl store opens in Heacham

Children from Heacham Infants and Heacham Junior School helped Borough Mayor Cllr Nick Daubney open the new supermarket on the A149 today.

Crowds gathered ahead of the opening at 8am forming a long queue that stretched right across the car park. First in line was Mrs Violet Skinner, a regular Lidl shopper who had driven from March to attend the opening of the store. She said: “I love Lidl and I got up at 4am to be here today.”

It was all smiles from the Lidl management and Regional Manager Nick Culverwell said: “We are really happy to be opening here.”

The children left the store in time for school carrying their goody bags provided by the store.
