Monkeying around for outdoor theatre

Saturday 3rd August proved a real treat for both the Jungle Book and outdoor theatre fans alike as the Strange Fascination Theatre performed the beloved story at St Edmund’s Church Ruins at Hunstanton.

An original adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale, the group performed animatedly and engaged the children and parents with audience participation and skilful puppetry. The sunny day paired with the stunning backdrop of the Lighthouse and the beach accentuated the experience of watching theatre outside.

Activities Coordinator for the Hunstanton Heritage Gardens Roger Partridge said: “The idea came about through the Heritage Gardens project because one of the aims was outdoor cinema and outdoor theatre.”

“The Strange Fascination Theatre were people that we knew and they deliver outdoor theatre, so here we are! As always, we want to provide things that will attract the locals and visitors to Hunstanton.”
