Meet the team at Prestige Group - a family business full of heart

Entrepreneur Luke Bell, in his early 20's, employs around fifteen people - including his sister and brother.

Their website says, 'we pride ourselves on being a friendly and approachable bunch' - and that's exactly the impression the office team give in Dersingham.

The family-run business is led by Luke, a third-generation roofer, and I'm greeted by his sister Molly, who deals with customer support and quotations.

“I look at the Prestige team as my family," she says, "As well as my own family obviously, as my older brother is the owner and my younger brother Liam works here too.  We’re all so close and have a bond.

"I love my job - especially the relationship with the customer.”

At this point Julia walks through the door, receiving a warm welcome.  She's recently had her roof repaired after a leak and has popped in to thank them.

“I would recommend Prestige, I think that they did an excellent job, customer service was really excellent too.  You can just look at the roof now and see the quality of workmanship.  They also did a great clear up job after."

As Molly and Julia continue to chat, Julie, who's the regional office manager for Norfolk, introduces herself and takes me to have a look at the small showroom.

"This is where we can bring customers and show them how all the different finishes will look.  This is a family business, I know we emphasise this a lot, but everybody looks out for everyone else and we have a such a good relationship with our customers."

Tim is the last person to meet, and he's busy rebuilding the company's website, "Hopefully making it more user friendly - for both the customer and the team.”

He tells me he loves working here, “Everybody looks after each other.  And you’re not just a number, you feel like what you do matters.”

I'll be honest the only disappointing thing about my visit is I didn't get to meet Bella the Pomeranian - Luke's dog.

"The company logo isn't just a logo," Molly says, "This is Bella - and she's often in the office with us, greeting people with a tail wag!"

I'll have to pop back to meet her.

"I never dread coming into work," Julie says before I leave. I'm not surprised.
