Make Good, three years in the making, tells the story of the Post Office scandal. The wonderful new musical on the first leg of its national tour is at Wereham Village Hall.
Shouldham Entertainment Committee presents their latest live show, a major new production on tour from Pentabus and New Perspectives Theatre Companies - Make Good: The Post Office Scandal for one night only in October. Once again presented in collaboration with Creative Arts East, the show will unusually be presented in Wereham Village Hall to better accommodate the scale of the production which follows the story of this ongoing national scandal in this wonderful new musical on the first leg of its national tour.
Over twenty years a silent tragedy has unfolded in the heart of our communities: Innocent sub-postmasters had their lives torn apart and faced bankruptcy, isolation, and jail for crimes that were never committed and for debts that never existed. Directly informed by conversations with affected sub-postmasters, Make Good dives into this most local of stories, capturing the raw emotions, the bewilderment and the unbreakable bond of faith and family that were put to the test.
Make Good, three years in the making, tells the story of the Post Office scandal, now recognised as one of the gravest miscarriages of justice in British history. A cast of four, directed by Pentabus Theatre’s artistic director Elle While, will be supported by a local community choir to bring this story to vivid and emotional life.
This is a wonderful opportunity to see an important new musical in a village setting, and it will once again be supported by a full bar generously provided by The Wenns of Kings Lynn.
