Baby and Toddler Group benefits from generosity of local people
Many readers will have seen the ‘Donate’ ads in T&A over recent months (see page 50). In February Little Lights received a cheque for £250 from Richard Bird’s fundraising efforts. This will go towards running costs of the Little Lights Baby and Toddler Group that meets in Hunstanton Town Hall Basement on Thursdays from 9.30 to 11.30 during term time.
The group has around 30 children and 40 adults attending each week and leader Suzie Abramian pictured right with husband Sam, son Joshua and Richard said that the youngest member of the group was just four days old on his first visit and the oldest are the 80+ year old helpers.
With soft play, messy crafts a reading corner and refreshments area the group offers friendship and a welcome to young families with plenty of opportunities to share and chat. One of the main activities of the morning session is a big circle time with professional music and stories.
Family Support Workers also attend for weighing etc on a regular basis.
Thank you to everyone who has given their old cars to the Donate project. All of the money goes to local groups and charities.
