Snettisham Fayre had something for everyone on Saturday.
'Let me entertain you' was the opening number in the set from Your Choir led by Mike Tandy, and entertain us they certainly did. For just over an hour the choir kept the crowd entertained with their wide repertoire and the video I chose to share with this article is the song Funiculì, Funiculà, composed in 1880 by Luigi Denza with lyrics by Peppino Turco. It was joyful; the crowd loved it - and it looked like the choir really enjoyed singing it too.

Held on the cricket field, with the wicket protected by covers, stalls, games, a dog show, a classic car show, performances, children's rides and food were the attractions for the day with St Mary's church providing a beautiful backdrop to a much-loved village event that this year was also bathed in sunshine.

The dog show, run by Pam Barnard, was very popular with the Best in Show going to Daisy, a lovely Labrador pup who was also the winner of the Prettiest Girl. Fun classes included 'best six legs' (use your imagination) and the winner was former Town and Around cover dog Lilly with owner Robert.

KL1 Radio's Paul Baker was providing the music for the day and was also the dog show compere; he is pictured here with Pam.

In the Classic Car Show, local man Roger Thompson was victorious with his lovely Triumph Roadster.
Julie who was at the Fayre with her seven-year-old told me that it was the best event for years, and many others said the Events Committee had done a wonderful job.
And if you thought it was all over, you are wrong! The entertainment continued at 7pm with the sweet sound of singer-songwriter Erin Elizaa filling St Mary's church; the twenty-one year old accompanying herself on guitar and piano. Erin finished her set singing a song called Indigo Sky that she wrote about three years ago. She has released it as a single and you can hear it here:
