Hunstanton's bookshop celebrates 3rd birthday

Supporters and friends of 'by the book' gathered to celebrate the shop's birthday and hear about future plans.
Adrian Eden and Anna Pugh opened their wonderful independent bookshop in 2022, and in June 2024 they expanded with a second shop space aptly named 'Write around the corner', their venue for book launches, workshops, bookswaps, readings and creative gatherings. And on Sunday the venue for the birthday celebrations.
With shelves stacked high with thousands of handpicked titles, this beloved indie shop has become a literary lighthouse for readers near and far.
Thanking those present, he said "We are very lucky, thank you to all of you, one way or another you have helped us."

Having had a difficult time personally last year, Adrian proposed a toast to Anna for keeping the bookshop open saying "If it hadn't had been for Anna we couldn't have been here for our third birthday."

The next author event takes place on Saturday August 16th when they welcome Helen Golden a writer of contemporary cozy whodunnits that are delightfully British.
And they promise that there’s much, much more to come.
