Hunstanton RNLI Hovercraft assists in Medivac of injured horse rider

An injured horse rider was air lifted from Holme beach.
On Saturday 2nd October the Coastguard requested the launch of the Hunstanton Hovercraft to assist other agencies in the evacuation of an injured horse rider on Holme beach.
On arrival the crew assisted the coastguard and paramedics to carry the rider to higher ground as the tide was coming in. Due to the severity of the injuries to the lady rider, the Coastguard Helicopter was requested and it landed on the beach.
Once the paramedics had stabilised the causality she was placed in the Helicopter and flown to Norwich Hospital.
A spokesman from Hunstanton RNLI said: "This was a serious incident carried out by various agencies working together. Well done all. We wish the young lady a speedy recovery."
