The volunteer crew at Hunstanton were paged four times yesterday.
Wednesday 24th June saw Hunstanton RNLI volunteer crew paged to four separate incidents.
At 2.15 pm The Spirit of West Norfolk Hunstanton RNLI lifeboat was requested to go to the aid of a person who had fallen from an inflatable, off Old Hunstanton.
As Lifeboat launched the person had made it back to shore assisted by others, the lifeboat recovered an inflatable. At 3.10 p.m. they were requested to go to Brancaster to report that a child in an inflatable was drifting out to sea off Brancaster Golf Club house, on arrival it was confirmed that others had swam out and brought the inflatable and child back to the beach at Titchwell. The Lifeboat stayed in the area while the coastguard team made sure everyone was off Scolthead, they then returned to station, a further report came in that people were thought to be in trouble off Hunstanton, as they checked this out it was established that all persons had made it back to the beach.
The Respect the Water campaign continues and the advice is not to use inflatables in tidal waters, check tide times, read the signs and be aware of local hazards.
If you see someone in danger call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.
