Heritage Open Days 9-16th September in Hunstanton

In association with the National Trust, the Hunstanton and District Civic Society is organising five events.
Friday 9 September. Hunstanton Lighthouse - an opportunity to view the dungeon and then climb the tower to see the wonderful view from the top by kind permission of Mr Derrick Lloyd. Tours of 10 people start at 10.30 and then half hourly until 14.00.
Tuesday 13 September. Former Infant School, James Street. Visit the former school prior to its conversion into apartments. Tours at 10.00, 11.00 and 12.00 Access to the interior depends on the availability of the Ad Hoc guardian staff.
Wednesday 14 September. New for this year. Guided tours of the Drove Orchards Fruit Farm led by the owner Andrew Jamieson at 11.00 and 14.00.
Thursday 15 September. Guided tour of the grounds of Hunstanton Hall at 10.00 and 12.00. Starting at St Mary’s Church, Old Hunstanton. Walk through the grounds across the moat and into the courtyard. It may be possible to extend the tour to see the work that Charles le Strange Meakin is doing to renovate the grounds on the west side.
Friday 16 September. An alternative opportunity to visit the Hunstanton Lighthouse.
