Heacham FC all set for Big Season Kick Off
Heacham FC are gearing up for one of the most important games in their history as they make their debut in the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties Premier Division.
Pre-season has gone well with three wins from four. However, they face a tough induction to the league, making the 160 mile round trip to Suffolk based outfit, Woodbridge Town - who finished 4th last season - on the opening day (Saturday, 29th July), with their first home match a tasty local derby encounter against Fakenham Town on the evening of Tuesday, 1st August (7.45pm kick off).

The Magpies will also be participating in the FA Cup qualifying rounds for the first time and have been drawn away to Isthmian League side, Gorleston Town (5th August). They have also entered the FA Vase and host fellow league foes Kirkley & Pakefield (26th August), also welcoming them to their Station Road ground on the 12th August in the league.
Manager, Dave Griggs, is delighted to have retained the crux of last season‘s squad and is particularly pleased with two key new signings to sure up the defence and midfield in Jack Noble and Owen Gilbert.

Walking Football Update
This popular and growing pastime has returned to Heacham recently. Played at a slower pace, it is an excellent means of testing your touch and getting fit, particularly for the ageing connoisseur of football. It is aimed at people over 50 years of age. This takes place every Monday evening at 5pm on Heacham FC’s 3D pitch.
Organiser, Steve Watson, is inviting anyone interested to give it a try - although it is recommended you contact him in advance as sessions are already well attended. Heacham will be hosting a walking football tournament on Sunday, 20th August where they will be competing against other teams from across Norfolk.
