HDFA Art Exhibition celebrates local Norfolk talent in 2022

After an absence of over five years, theHunstanton & District Festival of Arts is promoting art and artworks from local artists in an Art Exhibition at Hunstanton Town Hall

HDFA Art Director Chris Peel, whose own paintings feature on the Art Exhibition 2022 poster, is delighted with the response from artists keen to contribute after such a long gap, and is looking forward to a successful and interesting exhibition.

Chris said: “During the height of the covid pandemic, I found painting extremely helpful in coping with uncertain times and I know many other artists, experienced and amateurs alike, experienced the same, with some even finding it beneficial to their output.

He added: “We are also expecting to see paintings and sculpture from brand new artists who discovered hidden talents during lockdown, which we hope will inspire others to consider taking up one of the creative arts.”

The three-day Art Exhibition, which sits alongside Artworks@thetownhall, a permanent feature at Hunstanton’s old Tourist Information Centre at the Town Hall, will present paintings, ceramics, drawings, textiles and sculptures from over 50 local artists and will be open to the public on Friday 17th June, 2pm - 6pm, Saturday 18th June, 10am - 4pm and Sunday 19th June, 10am - 4pm. Entry is free and refreshments will be available on all three days.
