The charity Children with Cancer UK is to benefit from a nine-year-old Hannah Burton’s year of making paper roses.
A huge effort in the last weeks of 2017 saw Hannah’s original target of making 1000 roses smashed with a final total of 1808 roses raising an amazing £1644.92.
Named as Volunteer of the Year in the Borough, Hannah was shocked to find out that she had exceeded her target. Grandmother Monica Burton said: “This charity is very important to Hannah as her fourteen-year-old cousin has leukaemia and her three-year-old cousin has neuroblastoma.”
