The 2021 Ascot Cup Final took place at Hunstanton at the weekend.
"Croquet for all ages is what we are all about," says Hunstanton Croquet Club's Caroline Harper, "and this weekend we had a final played between a fifteen year old and a senior!"
The club had the honour of hosting the event at their home at Hunstanton Recreation Ground where their five fantastic lawns are the envy of clubs from around the country.
The competitors
Sixteen of the country's top players converged on Hunstanton at the weekend to compete in two days of fierce competition.
15 year old Jack Good reached the final
Teenager Jack Good did fantastically well to reach the final where he was eventually beaten by the legendary England player Stephen Mulliner.
The Shield final featured under 25 England player Richard Bilton who was victorious against Lionel Tibble.
Richard Bilton and Ellie Ross
New Zealand was represented by Ellie Ross who won the plate.
"It was particularly pleasing to see established players being challenged by the next generation of croquet stars," Caroline added.
